Goal 2: Respond to the state's economic needs Increase the number of students who earn degrees and are prepared for work in high-demand fields by 300 per year compared with current totals to reach 1,500 per year by 2010.Increase the number of students who complete job training programs by 12 percent to reach 25,000 per year. Increase the number of students in adult basic education and English as a Second Language programs who demonstrate improved literacy skills by 19 percent to reach 20,525 by 2010.
