College Bound Scholarship

College Bound Scholarship (CBS)

This four-year scholarship covers the cost of college tuition, fees and books for low-income students who sign a pledge in 7th, 8th or 9th* grade promising to graduate from high school and to demonstrate good citizenship. The purpose of the program is to motivate and prepare students to pursue a college education.

   *9th graders (during the 2008-09 school year) have until
    June 30, 2009, to sign up.  This is a one time exception.

Eligibility

You can apply for the College Bound Scholarship if you meet any of the following:

  • Are eligible to receive free and reduced-price lunch
  • Receive TANF benefits
  • Are a foster youth
  • Meet the income standards
